Thanx Media Tops 100

Glen Ellyn, IL (PRWEB) July 14, 2010

Less than three years after it began offering Endeca On-Demand, a SaaS-based, best-of-breed site search, guided navigation and merchandising solution used by leading online retailers, Thanx Media has signed its 100th customer, Exclusively Weddings, an online retailer of wedding invitations, accessories, favors and wedding party gifts.

The milestone deal is a testament to Thanx Media's commitment to provide eCommerce companies with affordable, best-of-breed applications that put control over the shopping experience into the hands of the marketing and merchandising departments and reduce IT bottlenecks that slow deployment of changes to the web site. The payoff for eCommerce companies is a richer, more user-friendly shopping experience, greater flexibility in implementing changes to their site, increased conversions, and higher sales tickets.

"We needed a more robust onsite search solution that was easy to operate from the back-end aspects as well as provide us with options for dynamic marketing/promotional banners," says Aaron Pickrell, Director of Technology for Pace eCommerce, whose main title is Exclusively Weddings. "Thanx Media provided us with an affordable solution."

Reaching the 100th customer milestone in the ultra-competitive eCommerce solutions market is a reflection of Thanx Media's commitment to focus on market segments where its team can leverage its expertise, such as online retailing, media and publishing, and distribution, and providing only the solutions best suited to each market, as opposed to trying to be all things to all eCommerce businesses.

One client Thanx Media has recently helped improve its online shopping experience is WineAccess.com. Thanx Media created better search and navigation paths for shoppers to browse the company's listing of more than 57,000 wines to find the right bottle that matched their palate and price point. Since launching the site earlier in this year with the new look and feel, WineAccess.com is seeing higher conversions and increased overall member satisfaction.

"We were looking for the fastest, most flexible search capability across a very large listing and the Endeca On-Demand solution Thanx Media provided fit our needs perfectly," says Emmett Hume, president of WineAccess.com. "The Thanx Media tech team was very accommodating and committed to our aggressive 'go-live' timeline and extremely helpful in bringing our IT team up to speed."

Thanx Media's guiding principle of providing best-of-breed technologies that help eCommerce companies improve the online shopping experience has lead to the addition of other software offerings to compliment Endeca On-Demand, such as Baynote's Product Recommendations and Amadesa's relevance testing.

"What we see in the Amadesa and Baynote technologies is the ability to pair industry-leading search with supplemental offerings. This gives our customers the ability to test any page on their website, then take the gathered data and create recommendations that produce increased average order values and ultimately higher revenues," says Thanx Media CEO Paul Matker.

As more consumers rely on sophisticated smart phones to browse the Internet and conduct transactions, the devices represent the next wave of online shopping. Recognizing that online retailers jockeying to position themselves on the ground floor of the burgeoning m-commerce market will need a technology partner to help them deliver a unique shopping experience tailored specifically to the mobile environment, Thanx Media now offers the Unbound Commerce m-commerce platform.

"With more than 60% of online retailers looking to implement a mobile strategy in the next two years, it makes sense to add this offering to our portfolio," says Matker.

With a stable of leading eCommerce technologies and customers, Thanx Media has positioned itself as a company that exceeds expectations, an eCommerce thought leader, and a company that can determine where industry trends are heading.

"Thanx Media is the only company that offers the Endeca technology in a SaaS model, and by complementing that offering with Baynote, Amadesa, and Unbound Commerce allows our customers to grow with these technologies," says Marcel Munoz, CTO for Thanx Media. "Because we've invested in our services and support teams throughout the last few years, we've been able to ensure that our customers often condensed time lines are met while providing them with a professional experience."
